October in Abruzzo: An Experience to Remember

October is one of the most enchanting times of the year to discover the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park. The forests turn into a mosaic of colours, the trails become quieter, and Pescasseroli returns to the peaceful and authentic rhythm of mountain life.

From Tuesday to Thursday, Hotel Iris offers a two-night experience designed for those who wish to immerse themselves in nature, discover the local area and taste some of its most representative products. All activities are already organised: guests simply need to arrive and enjoy their journey through Abruzzo.

PROGRAMME:

- Tuesday – Arrival and discovery of Pescasseroli
Arrival at Hotel Iris, check-in and access to a digital guide dedicated to the village of Pescasseroli. Guests can follow the itinerary independently, discovering its history, traditions and most characteristic places.

- Wednesday – Nature, art and local flavours
Surrounded by the landscape of the National Park, the trail offers an original encounter between nature and contemporary art. The artworks blend respectfully into the natural environment, accompanying visitors on a slow and immersive experience through the forest.
After breakfast, meet at Hotel Iris at 9:00 a.m. and depart for a guided hike along the La Difesa trail.

In the evening, return to the hotel for a tasting of local cheeses, accompanied by a glass of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo wine.

- Thursday – Breakfast and departure
Breakfast at the hotel followed by some free time before departure, within the scheduled check-out time.
